The Agriculture Component

Agriscience and the FFA Program

Embedded in the college preparatory program are course sequences that allow interested students the added opportunity of early preparation for careers in many areas and opportunities in the fields of agriculture such as  business, medical, technology,  veterinary, animal, equine and sustainability sciences.

After students complete Agriscience – the 9th grade science requirement – the in-depth, elective courses in these areas serve as solid preparation for university business, pre-med, pre-vet, and animal science courses. Internships provide yet another dimension to this preparation.

AAEC students and teams have an outstanding record of success in local, state and national competition, often through FFA.
